Short-term Independent Study
- If your student is going to be absent for five (5) or more days, you may want to consider a short-term Independent Study. This is a voluntary program that helps students keep up with their school work and, when the work is returned and approved, allows them to receive a grade for their work. Students who fulfill the terms of their Independent Study are not counted absent for those days.
- Independent Study has a 15-day maximum and is not available for the last two weeks of the school year. Requests must be made at least 5 school days prior to the first day of absence.
