PTA PARENT EDUCATION NIGHT - DISASTER PREPAREDNESS – OCT 2 (7:00 PM):
Did you feel the Napa earthquake on August 24th? Lots of us felt the quake and it spurred us to action. But it may have raised questions as well, such as do you run outside when there's an earthquake, how much water should I store, where is my gas shut off, what is essential for an earthquake kit, how is the City prepared to deal with a major disaster, and more. Albany’s CERT Instructor Karina Tindol will give a presentation on disaster preparedness on Thursday, Oct 2, at 7pm in Ocean View Elementary's Multi-Purpose Room and will answer all of these questions and more. The Ocean View PTA will also be taking orders for emergency backpack kits (there will be sample kits available for you to check out). Limited free childcare available for Ocean View families, please email [email protected] to reserve a spot (elementary age children only). The event is open to Marin & Cornell families as well so please spread the word.
