5TH GRADE PARENTS--AMS PTA-SPONSORED PARENT ED NIGHT ON TEENAGERS AND SELF HARM: As a result of seeing an increase in self-harming behavior among Albany Middle School students, we have organized a parent education night on Wednesday May 14th, in the AMS library from 7-8 PM; Dr. Lisa Cohen-Bennett will be giving an hour long talk on self-harm and teenagers. Dr. Cohen Bennett is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working with self-injuries for decades and has been training on the topic for over twenty years. Shelly Ball, the district's mental health coordinator will also be there to speak.
