Fall Festival/Walk-A-Thon (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM)—OV Playground

This Saturday, October 20th from 11am - 4pm, is Ocean View's biggest fundraising event - don't miss out on the fun! Please help your student collect pledges. Extra Walk-a-thon pledge forms will be going home this week, or in Friday Folders, and are also available in the office and on the PTA website: http://oceanview-pta.org. We will also have extra forms at the event on Saturday. PRIZES: Walk-a-thon participants will receive a keepsake Ocean View water bottle. The PTA will give a prize to the student who does the most laps in their grade level OR a prize to the student who raised the most money in their grade level. There will also be a pizza or ice cream party for the class that has the most participation. So it is important to help your student remember to record their laps at the end of the Walk-a-thon. Lap WALKING will be from approximately 11 am - 1:30 pm; it is not a timed event, kids can start whenever they'd like and take breaks if needed. If your child plays a sport on Saturdays, they can receive 1 lap credit for every 10 minutes they participate in their sport. The live AUCTION starts at 2:00. There will be some fantastic prizes and CLASS BASKETS including DISNEYLAND TICKETS and ADVENTURES WITH TEACHERS. Baskets can be dropped off in the library starting Friday morning. If you are unable to deliver your contribution by 6pm on Friday, you can drop it off at the Festival by 1pm on Saturday. There will also be food, carnival games, craft activities and a pumpkin patch! RADIO DISNEY WILL COME from 3-4 pm to help us wrap up the Festival with some fun activities for the kids. It's not too late to volunteer. People are still needed for the following areas between 11am - 4 pm: running a game; lap counting; and Walk-a-thon registration table.
